July 21, 2013 – The Shepherd and the Sheep

The Shepherd and the Sheep

Writing the 23rd psalm, King David recognized that the Lord (metaphysically “Divine Law”) protects us and leads us when we follow. By Divine Law, we “lie down in green pastures” (we are provided with abundance) and we are restored by the “still waters” (calmed, reborn with a new consciousness). We are led in righteousness–right thinking, thinking from the heart, a place of non-separation, oneness, according to the name (nature) of who we truly are.

As the sheep are led through the valley, wolves and other predators cast shadows down upon the path as they watch the sheep from the hilltops. The shepherd uses the rod as a weapon and the staff to prod or to pull the sheep to safety. So too we can take comfort with the protection and guidance of Divine Law, as light destroys shadow.

Even in the presence of our “enemies” (our fearful thinking) our table is prepared with good things and our “cup” is overflowing. There’s more than enough! We are forgiven even before we ask, because our Shepherd never held anything against us in the first place! As oil prevents destructive parasites from getting inside the sheep’s head, Divine Law protects us from self destructive thinking.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life” where “follow” actually means “pursue”. We are already in heaven and don’t even know it, because we haven’t been even a little willing to be led by Divine Law! You are in the house of the Lord, right here, right now. You don’t have to wait for it.

So how do we follow our Shepherd?
1. Ask for Guidance. We have free will so Divine Law waits for us to ask. Then ask for a sign that you will understand, that you see that Divine Law is real, so that you can.
2. Follow with Trust.
3. Stay on the Path. Do not take your eye off the Shepherd.
4. Look for the Signs. Expect to see them. When we expect, we get.
5. See Only the Good. It’s not easy, so practice, practice, practice! How you see it is how you will experience it. Be willing to see the perfection in it.
6. Forgive Everything. Don’t condone the action, but forgive the person. Otherwise you will carry it around with you.
7. Live Daily in a Consciousness of Heaven Now. “I am in heaven.”

Affirm: “I am guided and protected by the ever-present Love and Wisdom of Divine Mind.”

June 16, 2013 – Who’s Yo Daddy?

Who’s Yo Daddy?

The word “father” has many aspects, and invokes many things in us. Some warm and loving, some not so warm and loving. Metaphysically, the Bible uses “Father” as the Divine Masculine; the Intellect; the Masculine aspect of Creative Principle. It uses “Son” to mean the Soul; the Image and Likeness of God; the Perfect Self; the Student on the Journey.

So in Luke 10:22, “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal to him” means only the divine masculine knows the soul and only the soul (Son) knows the divine masculine. The Son is that truth of our being that has the relationship with the divine masculine.

Regardless of how you might feel about him, what if you had the perfect human father for the development of your purpose for being here, for what your soul intended by coming into this world? If you had known this would you have experienced the pain which caused you to seek the relief and the benefits then gained? To the personality judgment is the result of suffering. To the soul suffering is the result of judgment. Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional. The soul sees there is a reason, a blessing to be found. What if the person gave you exactly the experience you need to fulfill your purpose? What if the father was perfect for you? The people who cause us the most suffering are the souls who love us the most, to lower themselves to bring you just what your soul desired.

Breathe into possibility around that person called father. You cannot be a victim and creator at the same time. There are no victims. You are a creator. Affirm: I honor myself. I honor my father. I honor my experience of my father. I am willing to see the perfection in what happened. I choose peace. I am at peace. I am at peace. I am at peace.

So who’s your daddy?

March 17, 2013 – Why Pray?

3/17/13 Rev. Sheila Gautreaux
Why Pray?

God knows our hearts, our every desire. So why pray? The word “prayer” comes from a word with two meanings: 1st, ‘to set a trap’. So when we pray we are setting up to trap the attributes, the characteristics of God, like love, peace, joy, wisdom, perfect health, perfect relationships. 2nd, it means ‘to make an adjustment’. When you pray you open to the attributes of God and you adjust. So when the storm comes, it does not have so much power because you can project the attributes of God into it. In that sense, the storm is birthing you! It strengthens your God muscle. Exercise it daily. Walk daily with God. And when you come upon a storm, you know you will be greater in the sunshine that’s on the other side.

It’s one thing to pray everyday. It’s another to have a relationship with God. It brings the rain-shelters and umbrellas so you have them when the storms come. How do we do that? The Unity 5 Step Method is a basic foundation.

1. Just sit. It’s not about doing, but being.

2. Focus inward. You could use “Come Holy Spirit” or “The breath of god is breathing me”. Use whatever brings your attention inward.

3. It’s not begging or asking, but reflecting on the love and goodness of God to give what you are wanting. Or meditate on the attributes of God. God already knows what you need, so picture yourself receiving.

4. Realize it’s already yours. God’s good pleasure is to give you the you the kingdom of Heaven. Realize it. Know it.

5. Gratitude. I know that I know that I know! You need to know how your Creator feels and acts toward you! God adores Its creations! It is well pleased with Its creation—you! Give thanks.

What shows up is the result of your relationship with your Creator. All we need is a critical mass of 1% to change the whole world at depth. Then people will say, “I don’t want to fight. I don’t need this assault weapon to bring peace.” Try it! We try on shoes; we take a test drive in a car. So try it!

January 6, 2013 – The Power of 3: Living the Charmed Life

1/6/13 Rev. Sheila Gautreaux

Living The Charmed Life, The Power of Three, part II

Bring forth your power. Align with each level of the trinity of your being—MIND, BODY and SPIRIT. Live the “charmed” life of a spiritual being in a physical body. We are created by the goodness of the universe, so all the power of the universe is in us.

Grasp the Divine MIND Truth and align with it, bring it into your MIND. Chant it, affirm it, speak it throughout the day every day until you KNOW it. Then bring it into your physical BODY. FEEL it in every cell in your BODY, displacing belief in tiredness and illness. “I feel I am whole!” No feeling; no healing. Once you feel it, Spirit takes it out into the BODY of your affairs.

The Holy SPIRIT is our liaison with the mind of God, and is always available. Sit in quiet. Write your question at the top of a sheet of paper. Start by praying 3 times, “Come, Holy SPIRIT”. The response is actually palpable. You will feel it. Then ask. You will be guided as to “What is mine to do?”

We are afraid of our power because we don’t understand. God is not powerful, but power. God is not loving, but love. God is not peaceful, God is peace. Live life as if you ARE blessed, charmed, powerful.

Steps to “Living the Charmed Life”: Accept your power. It’s yours. Affirm it. “I accept the divine power that flows through me, as me!” Learn. Discover what you’re capable of. Apply the powers in the laboratory of your life. Apply; apply. Practice; practice; practice. Face and vanquish your demons of fear, judgment, hurt, anger, etc. They prevent you from standing in your power. Don’t run from your doubts and fears. They are illusions and are not as powerful as you believe. Once you shine the light they disappear. Don’t let them and their relatives move in. Bar the door. Lastly, protect the innocent—the innocent that you are. We have not lost our innocence. We are still the pure, innocent beings we were with God before the world was made.

Be the Christ in the world. When you walk out all suited up in your power you will begin to bring transformation into the world! Your light will shine so brilliantly! People will feel it.

Pray the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi as “Lord, make me an instrument of your POWER. Where there is hatred, let me so love…” and so on. You are the beloved of God. It is God’s good pleasure to support you in living the charmed life!

December 2, 2012 – The Power of 3

12/2/12 Rev. Sheila Gautreaux

The Power of 3

Do you want to step up your game? Do you see your previous hopes and aspirations unfulfilled? Do you ask yourself, “If I am truly God expressing, why can’t I make these changes?” Core negative beliefs rise up to stop us. We need to do something different.  Use the Power of 3. Align yourself on every level—Mind, Body, Spirit—to manifest your greatest desires.

There are various concepts of the Trinity. Traditionally it is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  1.Father: the infinite possibility, the all-knowing, the perfect all-ness. Everything. Divine I Am. It. (God without gender. The Bible was written by men in a very patriarchal time.)  2.Son: offspring of the all-ness, of infinite presence, made in the image and likeness, with all of the attributes, of It. We are the suns.  3.Holy Spirit: It in expression in our lives. The activity of It. The Holy Spirit is our personal gps.

When you are trying to manifest something, the Father has every desire to do it. 1. Align yourself with Divine Mind which is perfect, without doubts or what-ifs. Be in union with the Mind that created the universe and can create anything. 2. Then go to your intuition. Ask yourself, “What is my dreamchild? How do I give it life?” Remember you are a sun of It. 3. Connect with the power to act. 1, Align your intellect with 2, your intuition and 3, bring forth your dreamchild. What do you want to bring forth, to heal, to manifest? Align with the billions on this Earth at this time of year who are aligned with the idea of bringing forth the offspring of God. The energy now in the Earth is primed for it.

You have the Power of 3. As a beloved child of the Divine you have the power. When aligned with the Power of 3, a spark will shine a brilliant sun, and you will have all that you desire.

1. See it! Connect with Divine Mind. Visualize with clarity. See it as you would have it be.
2. Feel it! Align with the feeling of having it.
3. Be it! Live it! As if you already have it, because you do!
